Our Approach

How the Courses Are Built

Written, not recorded

Readings are delivered as structured written modules, designed to be read, re-read, and annotated at the participant's own pace.

Worksheets alongside theory

Every conceptual section is accompanied by a practical worksheet that applies the material to the participant's own household situation.

Directed outward, not inward

The courses are designed to help participants engage more effectively with external professionals — advisers, lawyers, and community services — not to replace them.

Household financial review

Course One

Looking Back Calmly at What You Have Built

A five-week course for adults in their late forties, fifties, and early sixties who feel ready to take quiet stock of a working life. The course builds a simple household balance sheet across CPF, cash, property, insurance cash values, investments, and outstanding loans.

The tone is non-evaluative. The course repeatedly notes that the point is not to grade a life but to see it clearly. Mapping current and likely near-term income, listing upcoming large commitments, and noting health and family-care considerations that may shape the years ahead.

Course Two

Reviewing Plans Without Tearing Them Up

An eight-week course for those who, having taken stock, wish to review existing arrangements with a careful hand: CPF nominations, insurance beneficiaries, will contents, investment allocations for the years just ahead, housing arrangements, and the practical mechanics of the years between 55 and CPF LIFE payouts.

The course treats most existing plans as serviceable rather than defective, suggesting adjustment only where the reader, on reflection, finds something that no longer fits. It directs participants to MAS-licensed advisers and qualified lawyers for personal decisions.

Course Three

Preparing Gently for the First Years of Retirement

A ten-week course for readers within a few years of stepping back from full-time work. Topics include designing a simple monthly withdrawal plan across CPF LIFE, cash, investments, and part-time income; thinking about MediShield Life and Integrated Shield Plan premiums; and maintaining health and social routines that often matter more than finance in later life satisfaction.

The course treats early retirement as a gradual adjustment rather than a sudden change and points readers to community, religious, and volunteer resources across Singapore that support this transition.

No Product Recommendations

None of the three courses recommend specific financial products, platforms, or providers. Where product decisions arise, participants are directed to licensed professionals.

Self-Paced Throughout

No live sessions, no countdown timers, no pressure to complete by a certain date. The material is available for as long as you need it.

Email Support Included

Questions about course material are welcomed and answered during office hours, typically within two working days.

PDPA-Compliant Data Handling

Participant data is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act and is never shared with product providers or advertisers.

CPF rules, insurance regulations, and relevant policies change. All three courses are reviewed and updated at least once each calendar year.
